About

About CyberHoot

Short description

CyberHoot is an automated security awareness platform that helps organizations build stronger cybersecurity habits through positive reinforcement, engaging training and hands-off administration. Its modular Power-ups include HootPhish phishing training, AttackPhish simulations, Dark Web Monitoring and more.

Boilerplate

Founded in 2014, CyberHoot makes security awareness training easier to manage and more engaging for employees. Its Autopilot platform automates training assignments, reminders, escalations and reporting, while modular Power-ups let organizations add the cybersecurity capabilities they need.

CyberHoot’s HootPhish technology uses interactive, positive-reinforcement phishing training to teach users how to identify threats without relying on punitive “gotcha” tactics. Additional Power-ups include AttackPhish simulations, Dark Web Monitoring, customized training, reporting and more. CyberHoot serves MSPs and organizations worldwide with passwordless training, multi-tenant management, white-labeling, policy governance and compliance reporting. Learn more at cyberhoot.com.

Logos

Which logo should I use?

Primary logo

The full owl-and-wordmark lockup. Use it whenever space allows, in full color on light backgrounds or the on-dark version on Navy.

Owl mark

The owl on its own. Use it for avatars, app icons, favicons and any space where the full logo would be narrower than 120px.

One-color logo

Navy or white only. Use it when full-color reproduction is not possible: single-color print, embroidery, engraving, watermarks.

Primary logo

SVG is preferred for screen and print. Transparent PNGs are provided in two sizes, and print-ready vector PDFs of the color and navy versions are in the Downloads section.

Owl mark and tagline

The owl always faces forward and is never cropped. The signature lockup carries our tagline for email signatures and presentation footers.

Logo usage

Clear space and minimum size

CyberHoot logo with clear-space zone markedxx

Keep a clear zone of at least x, the cap height of the “H” in Hoot, on all sides. Nothing else sits inside it.

Minimum size

Full logo
120px digital / 30mm print
Owl mark
24px digital / 6mm print

Below these sizes the owl’s eyes lose definition. Switch to the owl mark when the full logo will not fit.

Do and don’t

Do keep the original proportions.

Do give it clear space.

Do use the on-dark version on Navy.

Don’t stretch, squash or skew.

Don’t recolor outside the palette.

Don’t add shadows, glows or effects.

Don’t rotate or tilt.

Don’t place it on busy or low-contrast backgrounds.

Cyber Hoot

Don’t rearrange the owl and wordmark or re-type the name.

Never use the logo to imply endorsement or partnership without CyberHoot’s written approval.

Voice & writing

How we sound

Positive, not punitive

We reward the right actions; we never shame people for clicking.

Do: “Help employees recognize phishing threats before they reach the inbox.”
Don’t: “Catch careless employees who fail phishing tests.”

Plain and honest

Say what the product does and what results to expect. No fluff, no overselling.

Do: “Automate assignments, reminders and reporting.”
Don’t: “Eliminate human cyber risk forever.”

Warm with a wink

A light touch of humor is welcome, never at the user’s expense.

Do: “Give your security awareness program some sharper eyes.”
Don’t: force an owl pun into every sentence. The hoot language is distinctive because we use it sparingly.

Simple

Short sentences, everyday words, no unexplained jargon.

Do: “Users get a short video and a quick quiz each month.”
Don’t: “Learners consume micro-modular asynchronous content cadences.”
