An Outsider Threat is a person or group of persons external to an organization who are not authorized to access its assets and pose a potential risk to the organization and its assets. An outside threat would be considered a hacker who can deploy malware into your devices.

What Does This Mean For An SMB?

Your business needs to take proactive measures today to first reduce its chances of being hit by ransomware, phishing, or other cybersecurity attacks. Secondly, validate backups and disaster recovery plans are current and functioning in case you end up hit with ransomware.
