In the State of NH, school districts are scrambling to meet NH Bill HB1612 which was passed by the NH State Legislature and signed into law on June 18, 2018. HB 1612 went into effect on August 11, 2018 and school district plans must be implemented by June 2019.

In summary, NH School Districts must inventory all software applications and systems to know who is using those applications and their purpose of access. Even more important, Managed Service Providers doing business with school districts must meet minimum standards for student data protection and privacy.
