We Are Honest
No marketing fluff, no overselling, no hidden fees. We tell you exactly how our platform works and what results you can expect.
That’s not corporate fluff. It’s what gets us up every morning, fueled by coffee and the belief that cybersecurity training shouldn’t feel like punishment.
Traditional cybersecurity training punishes employees for being human. Click the wrong link? Here comes a lecture. Fall for a phishing test? Enjoy your remedial video. It’s a cycle built on shame, not learning.
Collectively, our founders bring over 100 years of cybersecurity experience. And in all that time, we saw the same broken pattern: companies spending thousands on training that left employees frustrated with IT, yet no real improvements to show for it. So in 2014, we asked a different question: What if security training actually worked? What if we replaced punishment with rewards and positive reinforcement?
By 2019, we had our answer. We scrapped everything and rebuilt from scratch with one goal: to make cybersecurity training fun, entertaining, and positive so people actually engage, learn, and succeed. Today, CyberHoot isn’t just another training platform. It’s a place where employees build cyber smarts through encouragement, not fear. Because the best way to change behavior isn’t to punish mistakes, but to reward the right actions—again and again.
We believe in educating people from ignorance to awareness, not shaming them for being human. Traditional phishing tests tell you what you did wrong. Our approach teaches you what to do right.
Here’s what that looks like:
The result? Higher engagement, better retention, and employees who become your strongest defense instead of your weakest link.
No marketing fluff, no overselling, no hidden fees. We tell you exactly how our platform works and what results you can expect.
While others play follow-the-leader, we’re busy solving problems our competitors don’t even see yet.
Every feature we ship, every customer conversation we have, every metric we track, all feed back into making our platform better. Always improving, always measuring.
Security training doesn’t have to be a snooze-fest. We build experiences that people actually enjoy using (yes, really).
To our customers’ success, to our team’s growth, to solving cybersecurity’s biggest challenges. We’re in this for the long haul.
We do the right things and do them right. No busy work, no feature bloat, no wasted time, yours or ours.
Complexity is the enemy of security. If it’s not simple, it’s not secure.
Every user who clicks a malicious link isn’t stupid, they’re human. We design our training to meet people where they are and help them get better.

With a CISSP badge earned way back in 2001 (before most people knew what phishing was), Craig’s on a mission to flip the $6B “gotcha” phish testing industry on its head—replacing shame with encouragement and fear with confidence.
When he’s not building safer digital ecosystems or helping MSPs teach cyber literacy at scale, Craig’s likely riding 192 miles across New England for cancer research, leading Portsmouth’s Rotary Club, or giving speeches that don’t put people to sleep (thanks, Toastmasters). Whether advising Fortune 500s, mentoring startups, or decoding security frameworks over coffee, Craig believes the best defense is a well-trained, positively motivated human. And maybe a backup password manager.

We’re building a world where cybersecurity training is positive, engaging, and even entertaining. A world where employees look forward to security assignments instead of dreading them. Where better training drives stronger performance, boosts morale, and creates truly secure organizations.
It sounds ambitious because it is. But we’ve seen what happens when people are treated as humans instead of security risks. The results speak for themselves.
